What this integration is
Lakepoint Capital Inc. ("Lakepoint") operates an internal integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online. It is used by Lakepoint personnel to create and retrieve Lakepoint's own invoices and financial reports as part of running our advisory practice.
Who can use it
The integration is for Lakepoint's internal use only. It is not offered to clients, lenders or any other business, and it is not available for installation by anyone outside Lakepoint. Use of the integration is governed by our Terms of Use and End User Licence Agreement.
What it connects to
The integration connects only to Lakepoint's own QuickBooks Online company file. It does not access the QuickBooks data of any other business. The information it reads and writes is limited to what is needed to issue and record invoices and to produce Lakepoint's own financial reports: customer business name, contact name, address and email, invoice line items and amounts, and standard accounting reports.
Connecting and reconnecting
An authorized member of Lakepoint personnel connects the integration by signing in to QuickBooks Online as a user of Lakepoint's company file and granting access through Intuit's standard authorization screen. Access is granted by Intuit, not by Lakepoint, and Intuit records the authorization against the company file.
If the connection lapses, expires, or is revoked, it is restored the same way: sign in to QuickBooks Online and authorize the integration again through Intuit's authorization screen. No separate Lakepoint account or credential is involved.
Disconnecting
The integration can be disconnected at any time, from QuickBooks Online itself. See our disconnection page for the steps.
Privacy
Personal information handled through this integration is covered by our Privacy Policy, including the section on our accounting software connection.
